Plot / Storyline:
In 1969, Catholic priest Daniel Flynn, singer Darlene Sweet, salesman Laramie Seymour Sullivan and hippie Emily Summerspring arrive at El Royale on the California-Nevada border, where they meet Miles Miller, the hotel’s only remaining employee. Upon checking into the Honeymoon Suite, Sullivan is revealed to be FBI Agent Dwight Broadbeck, who was sent to remove FBI surveillance equipment from the room. While there, they find additional surveillance equipment of unknown origin. He also discovers a secret corridor from which guest rooms can be viewed through two-way mirrors and filmed through a 16mm camera setup. Broadbeck from the aisle sees Emily committing an apparent kidnapping and reports it to the FBI Hoover, who instructs her to ignore the kidnapping and prevent the guests from leaving until the surveillance material is secure.
