Movies story:

The genealogy of Benjamin Franklin Gates, treasure hunter family who learns of a national treasure from his grandfather. The treasure is hidden somewhere in the country and the clues leading to the treasure are scattered all over the country. Benjamin’s father detests treasure hunts, as he himself lost 20 years chasing treasures without success. The plot takes a turn when Ben’s partner, Ian, decides to steal the Declaration of Independence for the next clue. Ben refuses Ian’s plan and they become hostile. When Ben told the FBI about the possible theft, they refused to believe him. Ben decides to steal the ‘Declaration of Independence’ to save Ian. When Ben steals the document, he meets Abigail Chase, the curator of the archives. The rest of the story is about how Ben, his companions Riley and Abigail decipher the clues and save the national treasure without falling into Ian’s hands.
